How We Transform Your Photo Into Artwork
There is no mystery to how this works, and no reason to hide it. Here is exactly what happens between uploading a photograph and hanging a framed print on your wall.

Step 1 — You upload a photograph
Any JPG or PNG works: a phone photo, a scan, or a photograph of an old print. There is no file-size limit to worry about.
Nothing is published anywhere. Your photo is used to create your artwork and the result is delivered to you.
Step 2 — You choose watercolour or pencil
Two styles are offered, each with a fixed artistic brief that does not change between orders. That consistency is why the results look like a body of work rather than a random filter.
The watercolour brief
Transparent layered washes over warm paper white, soft dissolving edges, small pigment blooms, simplified backgrounds and a restrained palette — with faces kept clearly defined so the likeness holds.
The pencil brief
Graphite tonal modelling rather than outlines, paper-white highlights, dense shadow, sharpest detail in the eyes and mouth, looser drawing in clothing and background, and visible pencil grain on warm-white fine-art paper.
Step 3 — A watermarked preview appears
Within about a minute you see your actual artwork, downscaled and watermarked. This is not a sample of someone else's portrait — it is yours.
If it is not right, change style or upload a different photo. Nothing has been charged at this point.
Step 4 — You unlock the high-resolution file for $5
Checkout is handled by Stripe. The price is $5 one-time with local tax added at checkout, and there is no account or subscription.
Immediately after payment you download a watermark-free high-resolution PNG at 300 DPI.
- Preview before you pay — always
- $5 one-time, no subscription
- Instant download, no shipping
- Prints beautifully up to 40 × 50 cm / 16 × 20 in
- The file is yours to reprint whenever you like
Step 5 — You print and frame it
Take the file to any print shop, photo lab or online printer. Ask for matte or textured fine-art paper for watercolour, smooth matte for pencil.
A 4–5 cm white mount and a simple frame is what turns a $5 file into something that looks like it belongs on a gallery wall. Reusing a vintage frame is often better still.
What we deliberately do not do
We do not print, ship or frame anything. That keeps the price at $5 and leaves the decisions that affect quality — paper, size, framing — in your hands rather than ours.
We also do not invent details. Everything in the artwork comes from the photograph you upload: the same people, the same pets, the same poses.
